Sony has announced that it will be bringing the new PlayStation5 in India soon. While the company hasn’t provided the exact launch date, it has officially announced the prices. Sony has also made two versions of the console — one with a 4K Blu-ray drive at Rs 49,990 and a Digital Edition which is also slimmer and comes at Rs 39,990. Sony has hinted at a launch date of November 19 but it hasn’t confirmed the same.
Sony has also introduced a bunch of accessories with the PlayStation5. These accessories include the new DualSense controller and it’s charging station, a new Pulse 3D wireless headset, an HD camera and a media remote.
The DualSense Wireless Controller costs Rs 5,990 and the DualSense Charging Station is priced at Rs 2,590.Other devices like the HD Camera, PULSE 3D Wireless Headset and Media Remote is priced at Rs 5,190, Rs 8,590 and Rs 2,590 respectively.

Commenting on the availability of PS5 in India, the company said, “We know that gamers in India are excited to get their hands on PS5. Availability in each country is subject to, amongst other things, local import regulations, and our local teams are working through the logistics. We will share an update on the launch date for India as more information becomes available.”
The Sony PlayStation5 arrived in June 2020. It comes in a dual-tone design with a mix of Back and White — along with the Blue LED lights surrounding the air vents at the top. There’s the new PlayStation logo at the top left corner and front apart from that glossy finish houses 1-regular and 1 Type-C port.
Sony has confirmed five games and their prices in India. These include Demon’s Souls at Rs 4,999, Destruction Allstars at 4,999, Marvel Spiderman Miles Morales: Ultimate Edition at Rs 4,999, Sackboy A Big Adventure at Rs 3,999 and Marvel Spiderman: Miles Morales at Rs 3,999.
