Amazon released a batch of early Prime Day deals on June 20. Our picks:

OUR TOP PICK: — save $45

BEST HOME SECURITY DEAL: Blink Indoor Wireless HD Security Camera — save $30

BEST STREAMING DEAL: — save $25

BEST HOME INTERNET DEAL: Eero Pro Mesh WiFi System — save $128

Prime Day doesn’t officially start until Monday, June 21, but Amazon released a slew of early deals on Sunday to kick things off.

Items on sale include Amazon devices like Blink security cameras, Eero home WiFi supplies, Fire tablets, and the delightfully spherical fourth-generation Echo Dot. Plenty of the picks come in bundles, too, so if you want a multi-pack of Blink cameras or three Eero routers, now’s your chance.

If you’ve been waiting for any of these gadgets to go on sale, it’s best to pick them up now. We’re not sure how long they’ll remain in stock.

Amazon’s eight-inch Fire HD 8 tablet from 2020 is already affordable at its MSRP of $89.99. For Prime Day, though, it’s half off. If you’re cool with sticking to Amazon’s app store, it’s hard to imagine finding a better-value tablet elsewhere.

Other (honestly just as good) early Prime Day tablet deals:

Save $30 on Blink’s full-size smart indoor security camera, which has a battery life of up to two years. It’s also compatible with Alexa and can deliver motion alerts directly to your phone — plus, you can talk to people (or dogs) inside in real time. Though it’s not PCMag’s top choice for an affordable home security camera (that’s the Wyze Cam Pan), contributing editor John R. Delaney did describe it as “a solid buy for anyone looking for an affordable indoor camera that’s easy to use.” Not bad.

Other early Prime Day home security deals:

If you want a new streaming device, now’s the time to take the plunge on a Fire TV Stick. Amazon’s 4K version with an Alexa voice remote is half off. Don’t think you need a voice remote? Think about how long it takes to type out your searches character by character. Then imagine not doing that anymore. Life-changing!

Other early Prime Day deals on streaming devices:

Work-from-home internet still not up to par? You may want to consider a whole-home mesh WiFi system like Eero, which was a PCMag Reader’s Choice for 2021. In this bundle, you’ll get one Eero Pro (“the gateway of the Eero system”) and two Eero Beacons (basically WiFi extenders).
