The next big launch in India for Xiaomi will be launching Redmi-branded Windows laptops in India. Xiaomi already has a presence in the laptop category in the country with its Mi Notebook series. But now, the company is gearing up to launch the RedmiBook series of laptops. While the Mi brand targets the slightly premium segment of the market, the new RedmiBook series can be expected to be affordable.
Muralikrishnan B, COO at Xiaomi India has confirmed that the RedmiBook laptops are coming to India soon during the launch of the new Redmi Note 10T 5G while teasing what’s next for the Redmi brand in India.
Xiaomi has already launched several laptops under its Redmi series in China and it is expected that the company will be bringing some of the newer models of RedmiBook in India. The company recently launched the RedmiBook Pro series in China with 11th-gen Intel and AMD Ryzen processors. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed which laptop models it will introduce in the country, also, there’s a possibility that it may launch a brand new version of the RedmiBook laptop as well.
Meanwhile, Redmi has launched its first 5G phone in India. The brand has unveiled the Redmi Note 10T 5G smartphone at an introductory price of Rs 13,999 for the base model. The handset comes powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset and is equipped with a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate display. Redmi Note 10T 5G has a 6.5-inch DotDisplay with 90hz adaptive refresh rate. The smartphone features, what the company calls, a evol design and is offered in four colour variants- Metallic Blue, Mint Green, Chromium White, and Graphite Black. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
