A new Micromax phone with the model number E7748 may launch in India soon as it has now received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, as spotted by noted leakster Mukul Sharma. Given the Micromax In Note 1 has the model number E7746, the E7748 could be its successor with hardware improvements or a new model in the series. Unfortunately, the certification doesn’t reveal much about the phone at the moment but Micromax’s co-founder Rahul Sharma had recently confirmed the company is working on a new phone and it will debut soon. We can speculate the Micromax E7748 could be the same phone.

Micromax In E7748

The Micromax executive said the upcoming In series phone will have a high refresh rate, 6GB RAM, and Widevine L1 support for HD playback in apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and others. Furthermore, the phone will also have liquid cooling tech. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the phone at the moment but we hope to come across more information soon.

Micromax In Note 1 specifications

To recall, the Micromax In Note 1 sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB native storage that is expandable via microSD card. The phone boots Android 10 OS out of the box but will get Android 11 and 12 updates. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. As for the cameras, the Micromax In Note 1 has quad-cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP wide-angle lens, and a couple of 2MP cameras. There is a 16MP wide-angle on the front with 78-degree FoV for selfies and video chats. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
