OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro pre-orders in India have begun on Amazon. The e-commerce platform is now taking orders of the flagship smartphone that were launched globally earlier this month. Notably, customers who pre-book the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro with a get card of Rs 1,000 or more will receive Rs 1,000 back as Amazon Pay Balance. The smartphones will seemingly go on sale from May 11th. To recall, the OnePlus 8 price in India starts at Rs 41,999, while the OnePlus 8 Pro has been priced starting at Rs 54,999. The phones comes with specifications like the Snapdragon 865 processor, up to 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole display. The Pro model also supports fast wireless charging and IP68 water resistance.

OnePlus 8 series: how to pre-order and get Rs 1,000 cashback

  • To avail the Rs 1,000 cashback, you will need to pre-book the OnePlus 8 using a gift card of Rs 1,000 or more. 
  • Head to Amazon Pay eGift Card page and purchase a OnePlus gift card worth Rs 1,000 or more between April 29th to May 10th. The amount will be adjusted with the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro price
  • The gift card will be sent to your email. Use it to purchase OnePlus 8/ OnePlus 8 Pro between May 11th and June 30th
  • Rs 1,000 will be transferred to your Amazon Pay Balance account within 30 days from the day of purchase
  • The scheme is valid for customers pre-booking the OnePlus 8 series between April 29th-May 10th from

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro specifications

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones run on OxygenOS-based Android 10 out of the box. The handsets come in Glacial Green, Onyx Black, Interstellar Glow, and Ultramarine Blue colour options. The phones are powered by Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch punch-hole display with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ compatibility. This is also the first smartphone by the brand with IP68-certified for water- and dust-resistance (1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes).

On the camera front, the OnePlus 8 Pro gets a quad-camera setup with 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + 5MP sensors on the rear. On the front, it ships with a 16MP shooter for selfies. The smartphone has a 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired as well as wireless charging support, along with 3W reverse wireless charging.

The OnePlus 8, on the other hand, features a 6.55-inch 90Hz QHD+ punch-hole display, 4,300mAh battery with 30W wired charging support, and 48MP + 16MP + 2MP triple rear cameras. The front camera is the same as the OnePlus 8 Pro. There is no IP68 rating and wireless charging support for this model.
