A week after Sushant Singh Rajput’s sad and sudden demise, his family honoured his memory by organising a prayer meet at his hometown of Patna. A framed picture of the actor adorned with flowers is doing the rounds on social media. The viral picture has been leaving fans teary-eyed with many sending the family their love and strength in these trying times.
Sushant’s demise has ignited a lot of debates, discussions, and protests on social media with hate and ill will being spewed around by trolls. While many stars have been taking the mean allegations, the jibes and abuses quietly, Salman Khan finally spoke up, but took the high road and made his words count. He requested all his fans to stand with Sushant’s fans and not to participate in the spread of bad language and the curses.
Sonakshi Sinha, on the other hand, deactivated her Twitter handle. Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor turned off her comments section after her post about ‘Karma’ and her “privilege” brought with it a wave of trolling and harsh criticism. Arbaaz Khan too called out the ‘idle minds’ in his post while looking at everything that’s happening around us.
Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar, in a post reaching out to all the girls named in SSR’s suicide case, said, “I was extremely pained when people were more vicious and vacuous in pretext of being sympathizers of #shushantsinghrajput’s death. We have completely forgotten to show respect for the dead and live wiser.”
Amidst all this, celebs also found peace by celebrating International Yoga Day on Sunday. Many like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, Varun Dhawan and others performed various asanas to perfection.
Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and many others also wished their beloved fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day.
