As you know, the Maharashtra government, after mulling over it a few weeks with fair warnings, has imposed a fresh lockdown and stricter night curfews to curb the surge in Coronavirus cases. Why? Well, because Maharashtra recorded its highest for a single day, 57,074 Covid-19 infections on Sunday (April 4) with Mumbai registering the most and 11,206 new cases. The decision came after CM Uddhav Thackeray warned the people about the same due to the spike in COVID cases. In fact, to #BreakTheChain, the Office of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, office laid out fresh guidelines including a night curfew in the state and a lockdown over the weekends from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am, effective from Monday.

It even made sense when India breached 1 Lakh daily cases, the first time since the pandemic and becoming the only country after America to achieve this unwanted feat. Needless to say, state officials and the administration at the center is working closely to #BreakTheChain and beat the virus.
But listen, nobody said anything about not laughing while at it! In fact, in my humble opinion it is imperative to find humor in such situations because let’s admit it, what other option do we have? So, thanks to memers on Twitters we can LOL while we wait and sit through another pandemic. Cause from taking digs at the crimeless curfew hours to making celebratory memes on behalf of students, you’ll find them all below.
