Kangana Ranaut is not one to back down. Although she doesn’t do that even at times when she should take back her words, there is no deny that the Bollywood actress is not afraid to call names on Twitter. Again, it doesn’t mean I condone her name-calling but it does mean that I’m obligated to tell you about the recent episode from the micro-blogging site. In a not-so-new turn of events, the Panga actress has taken a dig at CM Uddhav Thackeray-led government in Maharashtra. Amid reports of a full, fresh lockdown, Ranaut mirrored the frustration of a lot of people who stay in Maharashtra and questioned if it’s a ‘semi, fluid or fake’ lockdown. Whatever that means.

Not just that, she also went ahead and did what she does and colored the tweet with her brand of sarcasm and included a ‘changu mangu’ taunt. She wrote, “Can anyone tell me if Maharashtra has a lockdown? Semi lockdown? Fluid or fake lockdown? What is going on here? No one seems to be wanting to make decisive decisions. Changu Mangu gang fighting with existential crisis. To be or not to be while every moment hanging like a sword.”

This comes after her recent tweet where she spoke of the ‘eerie’ deserted streets of Mumbai while managing to throw shade at the administration at the wake of the demolition of her building. “The city seems like a skeleton of its earlier self, I wonder those who love to terrorise are also terrified today? Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut you feel this eerie day? I am curious…. and amused as well ….. Jai Mumba Devi”

BTW, these are not the only instances where the actress has expressed her dissent with the state of affairs in Maharashtra and the steps that have been taken by the govt to curb the cases of COVID-19. Earlier, she had criticized the partial lockdown and had advocated for a complete lockdown to break the virus chain.

Meanwhile, the actress will next be seen in Thalaivi which has now been pushed due to the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic. The AL Vijay directorial also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Prakash Raj and Bhagyashree among others. It also has Arvind Swami in the role of late actor-politician MG Ramachandran aka MGR and is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.

Ranaut also has Dhaakad alongside Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles. It is written by Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra. She will also feature in Tejas where she is playing the part of an air-force pilot. And of course, the second installment of the Manikarnika franchise titled Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda.
